While some training companies talk about shipboard firefighting, Gulf Coast Emergency Response Academy has instructors who have actually fought fires aboard ships.

They understand how ships are constructed and will not only talk about the procedures for fighting these fires but will bring with them their experience of this special type of firefighting operation.

The courses are delivered at the customer's convenience at a location near the Port of Mobile, Alabama or can travel to your ship to provide ship specific type training. The instruction is customized to specifically address your training needs.

GCERA can train your maritime crew from initial training to refresher training in Firefighting, Confined Space Rescue, Hazardous Materials, Incident Command & First Aid/Medical challenges faced in the maritime setting. Our group will adapt standard courses like NFPA 1405 to address the concern of shore based Firefighters responding to ships while in port.
